The hundreds of studies on happiness are irrelevant; everyone gets happiness through other things. Yes its proven to work on some, but no two people are the same. Everyone in the world is a different individual. So how can we say that there is only one way to pursue happiness? There is multiple ways to get to the point of happiness; I would say that depending on who you are, is how you will get to be happy.

Personally, I think that relationships with other people is key in pursuing happiness. Humans are flawed so much, that we think that the mistakes that we make are uncommon. Most of the time, the things we dwell over, everyone has dealt with. Most of us think we are so abnormal, when we are pretty normal. Humans need each other because when we die, we don't get to bring our materialistic things with us. All we have left on this planet when we leave, is the stories that people know about you. Whats more important, becoming rich,or connecting with other people? The feeling you get when you are genuinely nice to others is how get get the feeling of happiness without having to work very hard.

A portion of your happiness has nothing to do with what you have done. Instead, according to Arthur Brooks in 'The Secret of Happiness,' "48% of your happiness is genetic." Basically, even if you try as hard as you can to become happy, 48% could be potentially hold you back. Knowing this, people still pursue happiness.

Is it possible that the key to happiness is death? The reason that we can't figure out one way that works for everyone is that we finally achieve our happiness when we die? The peace that we would feel leaving all the pressure of the earth behind.

"Ignorance is bliss." This is a commonly known quote, maybe there is more to it then meets the eye. The more you know, the more you have to worry, and the less you get excited or happy about little things. If you had 15 years to learn anything and everything you could dream of, would that make you happy, or would it make you despise everything that ever made you happy? In the bet by Anton Chekhov wrote the story of a young lawyer that bets fifteen years of his life in prison for two million of a bankers money. By the end of those years, he had learned so much that he hates how most average people see life. Everything he took joy in, had left.
