America's Destiny
Our Country was founded by men and women who had the fortitude to face up to challenges and persevere. They lived through many hardships to make our country what it is today. Many men gave their lives so that we might live free from British tyranny and call our land our own. We have made great strides since our independence, but we cannot afford to grow stagnant. Not when there is so much more land out there that we can claim as our own.
Americans need to expand and protect our borders, ideals, and culture into the western territories of the continent. It is not just our future, but our "Manifest Destiny," to seek out and settle new territory in the name of the United States. We must leave the overcrowded and polluted cities in search of a better environment to raise our families. Come seek your fortune, be ye trappers, farmers, miners, merchants, hunters, ranchers, teachers, or domestics, it's out there waiting for you and your kin, just beyond the horizon.
Oregon's fertile soil and temperate climate are perfect for farmers; almost any crop would flourish here. Magnificent forests are a sight to behold. It is the land of dreams for trappers and loggers. The beavers run rampant and the trees are endless.
If you want to make your fortune another way, how about prospecting, gold has been discovered in the foothills of California's Sierra Nevada. You don't need to be a miner to find it; they say the gold glitters in the mountain streams just waiting to be picked up.
How could anyone possibly pass up this great migration west? It has something for everyone. Including me. See you all out there!
