Population: 4.4 million by 1822. White population was 2 million, making up almost half of the population.

Religions: Cathlocism was most popular. Also, Protestants, Jews, Euangelical Christians, and opinulast religions as of African origin like Macomba, etc.

Ethnicity: 2 Million of the people were white. Other ethnicities included Portuguese, Spanish, and African Natives.

Trade Markets: Sugar, gold and diamonds, Coffee, tobacco, soybeans, corn, and rice. Also many fruits such as oranges, lemons, mangoes, guavas, passion fruit, and tangerines

War: French invade Portugal in 1807, In 1817 Pernambuccan revolution against British regency fails but deepens anti-British sentiment, War with United Provinces of Rнo de la Plata (Cisplatine War) from 1925-28, Cabanagem rebellion in Parб in 1835-37, War of the Farrapos (ragamuffins), also known as the Farroupilha rebellion, in Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul from 1835-45, Sabinada rebellion in Salvador, Bahia in 1837-38, in 1842 there were rebellions in Minas Gerais and Sгo Paulo.

Government: In January 1822 Declaring Brazil independent, Pedro I forms new government headed by Josй Bonifбcio de Andrada e Silva, On October 12 1822 Brazilian independence proclaimed, with Pedro as constitutional emperor, In 1834 the Amendment of 1824 constitution institutes federalism (for six years) and one-man regency.

Industry: On March 7 1808 Brazil's ports open to foreign trade, In 1810 Joгo VI signs treaties with Britain, giving it trade preferences and privileges of extraterritoriality, One of world's leading exporters of agricultural products.

Political Borders/Changes: On December 1 1822 Pedro crowned emperor of Brazil, In 1824 Pedro promulgates first constitution and United States recognizes Brazil, in 1821 CÑ„rtes in Portugal votes to abolish Kingdom of Brazil, On April 7 1831 Pedro I abdicates in favor of five-year-old son Pedro II and a three-man regency assumes control, ruling in Pedro II's name.
