Francisco Sepúlveda

(1985 - present)

Francisco Sepúlveda, English teacher. He was born in the small town of Penco, Concepción on February 21st, 1985. He is educated in public schools where all his learning experiences were settled in. He lives in a family of "middle" socioeconomic status. His grandfather, Arturo Fernández De la Rubia was the president of sugar "Crav", one of the Concepción's biggest companies from the 80's. Sepúlveda is known in Penco for being part of the oldest families from the zone.

He and his brother Jorge Sepúlveda were dedicated students who wanted to get into professional careers finding opportunities in Santiago, where most of their families live. Francisco Sepúlveda is persuaded to study education for his Mother Marta Fernández cause of the wish of his dead father Jorge Sepúlveda. Sepulveda was always interested in languages so he decides to become a teacher and works in public schools giving all his best to teach English in a good level and paying back his learning to the public schools where he was educated one day. He starts his academic studies in the Institute of Valle Central, Concepción and finishes his last 3 academic years in Santiago where he is a public teacher. Before graduation in 2007 he gets a 5 month job in a private school called "Alicante del Rosal" where he puts into practice his entire academic knowledge. Once finished in "Alicante" he is called upon for a job in a public school in "La Florida" in 2008 where he learns many meaningful details in education which would help him in his career. Next year, he receives a call from the Department of Education of Santiago to be part of their teacher's staff. Once there, he realizes he is becoming his academic life in this path. This 2010 the Department of Education of Maipú call Sepúlveda to work in República de Guatemala School, the only basic school with an academic degree for the good results in the SIMCE test. Now, Sepúlveda is giving all his best in República de Guatemala School because he has found the real sense of education, so he wants to get an English training methodology course for beginners and spend his life teaching kids.
