Trump’s Temporary Immigration Ban

"Because of the demonstration, Copley station will be closed from 10:30" I heard a subway service information broadcast when I was on my way to the Lawrence Logan International Airport. Not only in Boston, many protests against president Trump's executive order were held overall the America. To protect the safety of America, president Trump signed an executive order, which is also called immigration ban, restricts the refugee program and citizens from seven listed countries to enter America. According to the survey conducted by New York Times , 57% of American people support this order, 43% of American citizens don't accept the explanation of this temporary immigration ban. For this reason, it is crucial for the whole country to have a profound discussion about the future influence of the immigration ban.

Supporters believe there is no doubt that the immigration ban can prevent potential terrorist attacks. Based on the authoritative explanation, to make sure those travelers don't have the criminal background or relations with terrorist groups the executive order requires the customs to spend more time on the visa screening process. Also, at least ten terrorist attacks have happened in Europe since 2015, when an influx of refugees from Middle Eastern countries into Europe, encourages supporters to insist that this temporary immigration order will protect U.S. homeland security.

That 57 % of American citizens who agree with this order view this ban as a perfect measure because it will exert a positive influence on government——relieving government's financial pressure. As far as all the supporters concern, those new refugees who want to enter America will not have the ability to find jobs and earn enough money to raise themselves and the whole family at first 5 years. Hence it is possible that those refugees will become a new crowd of homeless people. The last year's government statistics showed that just in New York, there are 60,252 homeless people, and the number has reached a record high, not to mention the total amount of homeless people in America. Those homeless people can be an unstable factor in this country. Therefore, to assure the country's safety, U.S government not only need to increase the number of policy but also need to give huge benefits. For this reason, placing more barriers in the way can relieve a lot of government's fiscal stress.
