The news of Emily's death came with many challenges. One problem is who will inherit Emily's home and belongings with Emily having no known heirs. We tried contacting Tobe in the hopes of finding a person related to Emily but his location is still unknown. Shortly after Emily's death the news of a corpse being found in Emily's room surfaced and came into our police department it was quite unsettling. It quickly spread around the entire town. Just after hearing the news we were on the way to investigate the scene. As we arrived to the house, we were meet by the two ladies and an officer who found the body. They began to lead us up to the room, as we entered an eerie sensation overtook me.
I looked over the undistributed skeleton. I looked over the room, everything looking untouched by the world until I came across a box tipped over on the floor. "This must be the item that fell" I thought. The box sitting in the middle of the room looked entirely out of place. I carefully moved over to the box and set it upright. Inside the box there were hand written notes by Emily. I tried reading the notes but the room was almost completely dark besides the little light coming in from the room below. I barely could make out Homer Barron's name. I decided just to bring it back down into Emily's room.
I called the others back up into the room to show them my findings. I notice a paper sticking out at the bottom different than all the others. I briskly pulled it out and in shock I realized it was adoption papers for Emily's kid "John Grierson." This paper came equipped with an address and phone number. I noticed that he didn't live to far away. To see if there were any other clues about this
