A Walk in the Park
Have you ever taken time from your busy schedule and just sat down at any park and just watched? At first you don't see anything special except an assembly of people, noisy playful kids, and the occasional burning sting of a mosquito that just made you lunch. You would see people picnicking, dogs frolicking, and people on a personal mission jogging through the park. All it takes to really see is you opening your eyes, ears, heart and mind to really embrace the life and magnificence of a park.
It's always hard to miss the bright red, checkered tablecloth, the smell of barbeque chicken on a charcoal grill, and the sight of the inevitable and must have, classic mahogany colored wooden, woven basket. If you look a little closer you can see much more. You can see love dancing out of the mothers' eyes as she watches her two children sitting at the picnic table playing with their plastic, perfect Barbie dolls. It is incredible how one has blonde curly hair, sky blue eyes and the most adorable round cheeks you have ever seen. Then the other one has straight brown hair and emerald green eyes with an oval face just like her mothers. Looking at them you can see they are a solid family full of love for their two beautiful daughters. Then if you just glance to the right, at the bottom of the grassy hill right near the river on a brown blanket you can see another family about to begin. You can almost feel his heart beating from a hundred yards away as you watch him get on one knee and slowly pull a ring from is pocket on his

frayed discolored jeans and proposes to his girlfriend, in the quietest voice possible, if she would be his for the rest of his life. You see her pause for a split second before she jumps on top of him screaming, "Yes! Yes! Yes!" These are the little things in life that make it worth getting out of bed in the morning.
All you ever really hear at first is the loud, obnoxious bark of the bull mastiffs and then the occasional yap of a Maltese poo. Watching a dog can teach you many things. They both teach you a life's lesson and tell you who their owners really are. If you happen to be looking out over the vast, endless, grassy field you are going to find the owners that are more laid back on life, people that don't take things to hard and like to go with the flow of things. Although they might work hard they like to relax as well. There is one man that sticks out to me more then the others do. He is about 6'1, broad shoulders and a nicely defined body who couldn't be but about thirty years old. I notice him because he is wearing dark granite colored slacks and a light black long-sleeved sweater all made by Valentino. But the thing that I notice first is the old, dingy colored Nike sneakers that he is wearing. To me it is very intriguing that a man of obviously high stature would be at a community park in expensive clothes throwing a tattered Frisbee to his bull mastiff that I heard him call Beau. Seeing him tells me that he doesn't take life too seriously, that even though you may have a very demanding life it doesn't mean you can't enjoy it as well.
Then you have the people that everyone always has a comment
