ABORTION
In America almost half of all pregnancies go unplanned which leads to abortion. Abortion in many ways is a different route for some people, but doing this to the female body will cause physical damage. Moreover, it causes damage to society and also a hard choice for a single parent to make.
When Abortion is first decided on it is usually chosen to be done during the first three months of pregnancy, but if it is chosen to be done during the first month of pregnancy then a suction aspiration will be used to perform the operation. " A local anesthetic is used to numb the cervix. This allows insertion of tube attached to suction of machine. The suction pulls the contents of the uterus through tube into collection bottle. The pregnancy ends. Any remaining tissue from uterus is removed." (Durrett, PG 23) After this operation is performed on the patient there is a very big risk of the uterus being damaged, and also because of damaged uterus there may be at some time a case of vaginal bleeding. "Around the world this operation ranges 40 to 60 million people who choose to have this surgery performed"(Emmens, pg 113). "The centers that do this probably end up doing more than a million abortions a year" (www.religioustolerance.com)
Having an abortion also causes stress among the person who gets it done to them. In some women when they have this done they start to get feelings of guilt, anxiety and fears of another pregnancy" (www.abortionfacts.com). With this women also even end up ending relationships with their partners or they even have fears of stating or getting close to another partner, but is reported that most women who go to post abortion healing programs often reconcile with the fact that they got the abortion. "Women that also go through this don't even want to have children again because fear of harm to it because of previous abortion."(www.abortionfacts.com). "In other cases there have been cases where women travel more than fifty miles away from home to get abortion, because lack of abortion facilities around the world."(Lynette, pg 80,81)
Finally, the problems of abortion not only exist during the process or after but it also occurs before the operation even begins to take place, because there is a period where the person has to decide to do this which can be very pressuring to that
