My fellow senior class, today we gather together to discuss a controversial topic......abortion. Abortion is a topic that many people have mixed emotions about. Many people think that it should be banned, while others think it it might be necessary In the 1973 this topic causes a big impact in the Supreme Court. At this time abortion got a turning point in the Roe v. Wade case, which was that a woman has a constitutional right to an abortion during the first six months of pregnancy. Abortion is a way in which many women decide to practice when they don't want the baby. Why should abortion be illegal? What will be the point of it? What will happen to the people that have been raped and they don't want their baby? How about when the health of the mother is in danger because of the pregnancy? Many of these questions don't have an answer yet. In my opinion I suggest that abortion shouldn't be banned.

First of all if abortion becomes illegal many women are going to die trying to loose the baby. Two decades ago when abortion was not legal in the United States, it's been an estimated that nearly a million women per year sought out illegal abortion, thousands died and tens of thousands were mutilated. Making it legal abortion not only protects women lives, at the same time it protects their health. Many of women after giving birth had found themselves to have contracted heart disease, kidney disease, severe hypertension, sickle-cell anemia, severe diabetes and other diseases.
