I. Hello ladies and gentlemen. Image a loaf of bread. Alone it is tasty, but plain. Now think about if you added a piece of cheese to it. Yeah, a little better. Think about now if you added turkey, pickles, olives, roast beef, or even pine nuts. Mixed together it makes a simple loaf of bread into a complex creation that we call a sandwich.
II. I have spent years trying to master the art of sandwich making and I am delighted, to have received this year's Most Unique Sandwich award. Receiving this award makes me feel that my hard work is appreciated and acknowledged. This is a rewarding experience that I will always remember.
III. Along with this award, I will remember the experience that has brought me here today. Having traveled to several foreign countries I have obtained knowledge of their native ingredients. With this knowledge I set forth on a journey to perfect sandwiches everywhere and to discover a new twist to the traditional sandwich. My sandwich creation includes pine nuts, turkey, roast beef, dry tofu, humus, olives, ham, and dill. These ingredients create a winning combination that contributed to this award.
IV. I would like to thank the tremendous help that I have acquired from teachers, friends and the financial support of family. I also would like to thank the creators of this award that have so graciously chosen me for this.
V. I am overjoyed to have received this award, and I accept with modesty and high hopes that this sandwich recipe will be enjoyed for years to come and maybe even become a favorite household recipe.
