American Values Today

People believe that each individual has their own values. These values are passed down from generation to generation, and it is very important for everyone. Through these values, it could determine one's character. Values are beneficial to society because if a society does not have any values, people will compete that their values are better than other people's values. American values have historically held a significant role in life, and many people want to protect these values as their cultures.

Even though the foundation of success in life is hard working, people should know that to attain this success there is a factor including attitudes towards work. Hard work has an important part in winning in life. It is considered to be one of the well-known American values to determine every individual's future. People in America have a strong work ethic. They dedicate most of their time in working. Today, success is measured on the basis of money and leisure. For example, if the people will work hard, they could earn a lot of money and as a reward they will have good leisure. So it's just a matter of hardworking to give the family security and preparation for the future. Without these values, probably the relationships of a family are likely encounter a problem.

Everyone wants to have a complete family, and this will improve the future, but as society evolves into a modern world, American family values have been changed dramatically. Families may create new values for their own family. Raising a family is not an easy job because there are many factors to consider between the relationships of family members. Family is described as the basic member of the community. As time passes by, the family is not just whether a blood-related or marriage-related, the word families, nowadays are symbolized by sharing love, caring, and support of the family. It is called a modern family. Family values are what the family teaches their children. In this modern life, there are a lot of changes, particularly the values for families. The majority of the couples today are both working in order to maintain the needs of their children. Yet, American family values still remain by having a good quality time for their family. They keep the family values as possible like eating together and having a family day. The parents are always there for their children to support them whenever they need.
