A prenuptial agreement is an agreement made by a couple before they marry, setting out how they would like their assets split if they divorce. According to the investigation into marriage, the rate of the divorce becomes higher and higher in today's society. In order to avoid the unnecessary arguments between the couple after they divorce, I do think the prenuptial agreements are a good idea. In my country, I think there are two main reasons why people decide to have prenuptial agreements. One is that people perhaps to marry again, wishing to safeguard assets for children from an earlier marriage. To continue the family line is a big event in the Chinese families, and the couple always takes their child as their important property, so as far as two parties concerned, neither of them wants to lose the guardianship for their child. Another is that anyone with substantial business assets. Money is not everything, but without it, we cannot do many things, and that's why two parties in the marriage want to protect their own wealth when get divorce, or they decide to keep part of their wealth in their own name before getting marry. To sum up, in my opinion, the prenuptial agreement is not necessary for the couple, but it is really a good safeguard measure to protect their rights when they divorce.
