"Animal Farm" Essay

I think that if the pigs would have been the stupid ones and the horses, who also worked and knew what that was like ran the farm. Then the farm would have a better chance of surviving, instead of ending up like a dictatorship.

The pigs used their knowledge in a ill mannered way, they used their knowledge and fast manner of learning to dictate the other animals. They also used it for a quick boost to the top of the newly evolved "Animal Farm." The pigs especially Napoleon used their superior knowledge to outwit and diminish the less fortunate and "stupid" animals. If the pigs had have in turn been the stupid ones then the story probably would have been better. The working horses such as Boxer and Clover were the ones in the story that really deserved the knowledge. I really think that is the working class that was represented by Boxer in the book would be the ones that would know how to use the knowledge to include everyone in the running of the farm. Because they are the ones the really understand that to run a farm takes hard work and the brains to do it. They would have not been as selfish and I think that they would have never fell into the hole that the pigs caused on the farm. I think that the horses would have been fair about the amount of work done by each animal. Also, equally as fair about the amount of food that each animal received and not have reserved any food for themselves. He would certainly have not tricked the animals into believing that all the apples and milk should be for the horses and they needed their strength. Or that they needed them for more brain power because they had to do all the thinking that ran the farm. Nor do I believe that Boxer or Clover would have changed the rules on the wall, tricking the other animals to allow them to sleep in a bed.

If the pigs were not the leaders of "Animal Farm" everything would be much better because then there would not have been the most dreaded thing of all. The slaughtering of all those animals for small things such as eating an ear of corn instead of putting it into the bin with the rest. I also felt that if the horses would have been in charge that they would have been more
