Baseball Worries
Baseball was my life. I had played baseball since I was 4. Its was my senior year and I had colleges looking at me to go play and scholarships on the tip of my finger. Ever place on the diamond I played my hardest. One day that all changed, and I had to learn some important life lesson that I will keep for a lifetime.
Its all started when my mother decided to sign me up for baseball. Baseball was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I played in Arizona up until I was six and then I moved here. I meet all of great people through baseball and some of my best friends. Travel ball was a great time and teams were calling my mom to see if I would leave my team and go play for one of them and thats when I know I was a great baseball player.
High School is a different level in baseball but I was still a great player. My freshman and sophomore year the coaches didn't play me. Junior year was a great time for me in baseball. I was the number one pitcher for my team and hitting was becoming a big thing for me also I had one of the highest hitting percentages on my team. Senior year came and I was going to camps and showcases and getting invited to come look at college campuses. I was going to get scouted and be able to play college baseball. But everything changed when I broke my ankle in December. I missed conditioning and practice and also I missed the beginning of the season. Which caused me to not play to my full expectation and lost the interest of colleges that were wanting me to play for them.
After baseball season was over I was so devastated that I was going to be playing an college ball anywhere. Something in my head told me not to give up but to be determined and still reach my goal to play baseball in college. So I'm attending Roane State for one year and then the following year I'll be transferring to Tennessee Tech. I'll be trying to walk on to the baseball team and get a good education while I'm there.
In conclusion I advise you guys never to give up on your goals in life and strive for greatness. Soon enough I'll be playing college baseball at Tennessee Tech like I plan to. Life always throws obstacles in the way but you have to learn to overcome them and take away the life lesson in everyday things.
