The "Bermuda Triangle", also known as the "Devil's Triangle" is an area of water located off the southeastern Atlantic coast of the United States. This is a triangle put there for the mysterious past experiences which still occur to this day. There have been unexplained losses of ships, airplanes, and small boats. Each tip of the invisible triangle is located at Miami, San Juan, and Puerto Rico.
I would consider the Bermuda Triangle to be part of the Caribbean. The triangle is part of the Atlantic Ocean but also cuts into the Caribbean Sea. If the southern part of the "triangle" didn't touch the Caribbean Sea I wouldn't consider it part of it.
One time a whole squadron of TBM Avengers disappeared just after they took off from a city in Florida. Another time the USS Cyclops and Marine Sulphur Queen both vanished. These are just two of the many incidents which gave the Bermuda Triangle its known name.
These mysterious disappearances lead to many theories and myths surrounded with the area. Some are very far-fetched while others are believable. The most common explanations are human error and the environment, while others resort to believing in supernatural reasons. This location is one of two in the entire world where a magnetic compass does not point towards the true north direction. If this is not noticed, it could turn into a disaster. Another location with similar characteristics as the Bermuda Triangle is in Japan. Some call it "Devil's Sea." Here there have been various disappearances reported.
