Billie jean king was the most influential women's tennis player of all time. Billie jean king was born on November 22 1943 in long beach California. Her birth name is Billie jean Moffitt. She became Billie jean king when she married Larry king (not radio guy) In 1965.

This woman was a very important person in history. Because she was number 341 on the list of 500 lesbians and gay heroes because she was helping her secret secretary and laver Marilyn baronet get her life together.

Billie jean king was a good at most sports like softball and tennis. She was one of the best tennis players of her time. One of the most influential women in woman sports.

Billie jean king had many great accomplishments. Like winning outstanding female athlete of the world in 1967. In 1972 she was named sports illustrated sports person of the yea and in 1973 named female athlete to win over $100,000 prize money in a single season, she established the first successful women professional tennis tour. She founded a lot of tennis clinics for underprivileged children. So also had a lot to do with woman's history.

Billie jean king how she changed America is she help set up woman's tennis organizations. She had a big difference on woman's sports. She had a hand in woman's rights. She brought prizes money for women up. She was a tennis pioneer. Yes I think that Billie jean king is a good role model because she has done so much for woman's rights and woman's sports.

That is why she was very important person in woman's sports and woman's rights.
