She was lying there in her bedroom brooding about what she was going to have to do today. She didn't want to move because that would mean she's really awake, and would have to get up. All she really wanted to do is to stay in her room and curl back under the covers so she could go back to sleep. She was up for half the night waiting for the( dont use This paper) inevitable, her death, but knowing that it was her duty to stay and wait for that dreaded moment.
Now, the body lies there on the cold concrete floor on the back porch next to the washer and dryer, tucked against the wall under her favorite fleece blanket. She is very tired and emotionally drained, but she must get up before the others; specially the children. Seeing her like that is not something any child should see, particularly that early, when their little brains are just waking up. It would give them quite a shock and she doesn't want them to have nightmares. They are just too little to understand what has happened; she was the little ones favorite.
It was time to get up; she got out of bed and went to the porch to start her task. The body was heavy and with every step she became heavier. Where she had to go with her was quite a ways away from the house, it had to be. The morning dew on the grass felt cool on her bare feet. There was a cool, crisp, and light breeze blowing the loose strands of hair around her face. She could smell the melted plastic and the burnt paper from last night's garbage burn, which was coming from the barrel across from the house. The smoke was frosting the air and distorting the morning light coming through the pine trees. If not for the tragic death of the family's favorite old girl, this she thought, could have been a very beautiful morning.
After an hour or so she was finished with digging the hole and places their sweet girl, wrapped in her favorite blanket, in what would be her final resting place. Now, she was ready to go into the house and tell the girls what has happened to their best friend. She knows it's not going to be easy, but it must be done. After all death is part of life and its best if they learn it softly, then with a jolting shock. Coming into the kitchen she see that the girls are up and being noisy and rambunctious as usually. To think in a few minutes their tiny hearts will be broken. Then, the sounds of the house will turn cold and empty; instead of this happy joyous noise that is filling
