The title of my ar book is the missing gator at gumbo limbo hole by Jean Craighead George. The ar level is 5.3. I decided to read this book because of the title. It took me 3weeks to read this book. I liked that the teenagers and the adults couldn't even find the gator.
First the main characters are Patricia Travis mom James James and beef bones. They are important in the story because they all help look for the gator and almost all of them did something to make it hide. Travis wants to shot the gator James James and the 13 year old girl wants to find the gator because they think the hole in the woods is becoming polluted, Patricia is a crazy lady that moved out her mansion to live in the woods, mom is the girls mom that lives in the woods, and beef bones almost contaminates the water by working at a factory for a lady. All the characters become worried then happy then sad when they find out that mom and the girl is moving out the woods.
Next the story takes place in the Florida everglades. It's a story about a teenager and some adults who help find an alligator so their hole or lake could be free of pollution. Next in the climax of the story they see Travis point his gun in the woods at what he thinks is the gator. Finally at the end of the story they find donjon the gator and their hole was clean.
