I am writing you today about my concerns of the Bridger Teton National Park which is in Western Wyoming. The Bridger Teton National Park is 3.4 million acres of wilderness that is untouched and can provide many natural resources that we Americans can use instead of depending on foreign resources. Out of all the states in America this land is the largest untouched wildlife preserve that has not seen any development from companies that could benefit our environment by using its natural resources. I believe that the land that is only used for scenery can be useful if we are able to allow companies to go in and develop in that area. If able to develop in those areas that have never been touched, we might be able to find more oil and fossil fuels that have been dried out in other states.
As a conservationist I think that using the earth's natural resources are a must in order for us to have the luxuries we do such as driving cars, working electricity, and being able to use paper products. Without these things we would not be able to enjoy the simple things that our environment has to offer us.
In are current economy we are struggling with job security, unemployment, and dependency on foreign resources with countries that at times we have many issues with. Pricing in gasoline has soared over the years due to the demand and need. Foreign countries have been raising prices on purchasing barrels of oil in order to meet the high demand of using their natural resources. Many people in the United States are struggling with not being able to find work or finding jobs with pay that makes a person live below poverty. I believe that using this National Park for its natural resources will create new jobs, will help in our struggling economy and save us from depending on foreign resources.
Granted I do not think the whole National Park needs development, I think that using at least one third of its resources will help improve our need to survive by using natural resources. There are so many other benefits to developing in this National Park but in order to see them we must take action now. Many people that are against the development are not educationally informed enough on the decision to know how much it will help our economy to use the Park. With you and your readers help I hope that we as Americans can come together and sign a petition in order for companies to develop on this land. There are plenty of other National Parks in the United States
