I am doing my foreign Country Project on Brazil. I have chosen this country because there are many good food choices there and my uncle, Mark McInerney has been there many times and I've always thought that it would be cool to do my project on Brazil.

Brazil is the largest country in South America, and the 4th largest country in the world. It's on the East Coast of South America. Because of this, the seasons are opposite from us: their winter is May through August, and the warmest summer month is January. Brazil has the world's 2nd largest river, the Amazon River. It flows across northern Brazil.

The climate is different in different parts of Brazil. In the North it's hot and humid and it rains almost every day. In the North-West, it's cold and it doesn't have sun during a period of the year. Its climate is the Semi-arid tropical. In West-Centre it's also hot. Trees are smaller and they have a famous nature park. It climates is the Tropical. In the South-East region, the climate is the Humid Coast the South region is colder, it occasionally has snow in winters, its climate is Humid Subtropical

The landscape of Brazil includes the Amazon River and the Central Highlands. The Amazon River has a surrounding lowland basin of 1,544,400 sq. miles. Around the Amazon River is one of the world's largest rainforests. Most of the Highlands consist of an altitude from 984 to 1,640 feet above sea level. The Highlands ascend steeply in the east forming an escarpment, where several peaks attain an altitude of 8,202 feet or more, and then drop precipitously to a narrow Atlantic coastal plain.

The Capital of Brazil is Brasília. Brasília has a population of almost 2.3 million. It has an area of 14,000 meters square. The city is in the Central-West region of the country. It is along a plateau called Planalto Central. Its population is about 2,557,000 people. One of the best places in Brasília to go is Congresso Nacional. Congresso Nacional is a place that has two towers, flanked by the two "bowls," one face up and one facedown.

Another good place to go in Brazil is Rio De Janeiro. The City Population is about 6,023,699 Here, there are a lot of cool places that u can go to like the Corcovado Mountain with Christ the Redeemer Statue, the Sugar Loaf Cable Car and City Tour, and you can go on the Helicopter Tour. These are only some of the great things you can do there.

Now, one of the best things about Brazil is the food! Rice, black beans, and manioc (a root vegetable like a potato) are the main foods for Brazilians. There national dish is called the feijoada. It's a thick stew of black beans and pieces of pork and some other meats.
