Business Area in London

I am applying to GTP in Research/Analysis business area in London, UK. I want to thank you for this opportunity to explain my motivation for applying.

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in economics I decided to start my career as an equity research analyst. So I had a chance to work at the two best research houses in Kazakhstan - Visor Capital and Halyk Finance. There I learnt a lot about fundamental analysis and a little bit about technical analysis. I mainly helped to cover companies in mining and oil & gas industries of Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries.

After finishing my internships there I moved to do M&A advisory at Ernst & Young's Almaty branch. This was also an incredible experience as I was able to use my financial modeling skills that I acquired during my previous internships as well as to learn a lot about deals execution. I switched to M&A since I wanted to explore other areas in the financial industry.

However I decided to boost my background in finance by doing a master's degree at LSE. I am going to graduate next summer and available to start a graduate job in equity research straight after graduation. I am keen to offer my skills and experience to UBS equity research department and keen to bring a lot of effort and enthusiasm to your team.
