1.1 Brick Records is a small, brick and mortar, nostalgic record store currently in the process of development. I take great honor that you have decided to be my business partner. Informational Systems
1.2 Types of information systems consist of the following: Office automation systems (OAS), communication system, transaction processing system (TPS), Management information system (MIS), decision support system (DDS), and enterprise system. (OAS) transmits daily information processing duties within organizations. The tools utilized within OAS range in regards to tools used. Tools usually used through OAS include but are not limited to, presentations, text and image processing tools as well as programs offering spreadsheets. The benefits associated with OAS consist of providing personnel with a visual and better understanding. The drawbacks presented are system issues.
* Communication systems co-exist as they interact with sharing information on many different aspects. The transaction processing system (TPS) records data associated with transactions. Electronic communication systems enable individuals to work together by the direct exchange of information. Due to the advance in technology individuals now have the capability of sharing information through technology rather than the personal deliverance Technologies currently used include, email, voice-mail, chat rooms and so forth. Benefits pertaining to communication via database are the advantages without physically having to exchange date. The draw backs associated with TPS is instances where the company experiences a power outage and is unable to communicate through technology.
* Management information system (MIS) converts information for monitoring purposes of performance or production in regards to managing and organizing. Managers benefit greatly through MIS as the system provides records and data in order for monitoring the ideal business helping to understand problems and different situations.
