EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Organization Background
DS Management (the "Organization") is in the process of creating "Rip Roarrr..." as a profiting performing arts event in the state of Pennsylvania for the purpose of showcasing both local and national rock music in the Philadelphia area.
Festival Concept
The Organization's concept is to stage a yearly one to two-day music festival ("Festival") in late August or early September of each year commencing in 2006, encompassing a range of rock music, including indie, alternative, experimental, and possibly some jam bands, to be held at one or more venues in and around the Philadelphia area, with an anticipated attendance of one thousand people over the course of the event.
Purpose of Business Plan
The purpose of this business plan is to set out the goals, objectives and vision of the Organization, and to raise sufficient funds through the task of obtaining sponsors and/or donations, booking venues and acts, planning the marketing and merchandising strategies, and involving the community in the planning and staging of the Festival.
Capital Requirements
The Organization requires an estimated $60,000.00 in funding to stage the first Festival, with an initial requirement of $35,000.00. We plan to pursue the following funding sources: (i) private foundations; (ii) public donations; (iii) corporate support and sponsorship; (iv) contributions from individuals.
