That has got to be the most stupid question I ever heard... seriously!! I think its very important that we legalize CANNABIS in many ways. First off, we're supposed to live in a society where the population has a say in legislation (not always the case these days unfortunately). What ever happened to "A nation of the people, for the people and by the people means laws are decided by citizens". I know many productive people that smoke marijuana, who are way more productive than people that don't. I am one of them, been smoking marijuana for about 20 years and I am on my way to receiving my masters in business, not only am I in school, but I work part time to have more focus on my studies. Marijuana is harmless, much better for your health than cigarettes and alcohol. It helps many people that struggle with all types of diseases including cancer (I am a 2 time cancer survivor), depression, anxiety, attention deficit disorders, eating disorders, glaucoma, hepatitis, multiple sclerosis, and the list goes on.
I do not feel that the government has a right to tell us what we can or can not do with our own bodies, they shouldn't have that right! Cannabis is important for thousands of reasons... Most importantly, it would save us so much money as well as help us make money. NOTE: Failure: prohibition doesn't help!!! By keeping Cannabis illegal is costing voters so much money - if it were legal, we would have more money to spend on important problems, we could save billions of dollars every year as a nation if we stop wasting money locking people up for having marijuana, which means that us, the voters are paying for innocent people's stay in prison. CANNABIS is a valuable natural resource. Hemp, a form of cannabis can be used for clothing, rope, textiles, paper, food, cars, oil, bio fuel, building material, agricultural and industrial, to name a few.
