Some people might agree with the death penalty. Families get devastated when someone they love and care about has died. Its different when that person they care so much about has been murdered or killed. People tend to hate that person and have the urge to do just about anything to them in order for them to suffer, which causes us to take, revenge on them. This matter has lead to the death penalty. This is a punishment that slowly kills the man or woman that has committed the crime. Why should we have pity on those who choose to kill? If they felt powerful enough to kill, then we should be able to do the same to them. Whatever their reason is that they choose to kill they should be punished someway, somehow.

However, a strong case can be made against the death penalty. We have no right to take someone's life away from them even though they have committed a tragic crime. I believe the federal government should realize they are not preventing anything by their doing this.

Reasons why people are sentenced to the Death Penalty

Most of the people that have been sentenced to the death penalty have committed murder. The race and the gender has been a big problem. People think it unfair and unequal. Which I personally agree. There has been many more males sentenced to death row then there have been females. There have been 4 white females and 153 white males. Three black females and 185 black males. There were no Hispanic females and there were 100 Hispanic males. For other there was 0 females and 5 males due to The Texas Department Of Criminal Justice. Trying To Forgive And Forget

I know that it's hard to forgive someone that has killed your loved one but it's even harder to try to forget about it. We have to remember that we are just human and we do make big mistakes. I just think it's easier to live your life looking forward then looking back at the bad things in your life. If someone spends there time thinking about this matter, then we will forever be cold hearted and live an unpleasant life. I'm sure we would like to be forgiven when we have done something wrong so why do we want to automatically put someone to death for something they have done wrong as well. It takes someone truly strong and brave to forgive and try their hardest to forget.

The killings go on

If you think about it, at the end we will all just end up killing each other. It's just going to go back and forth. What I mean by this is that once you kill someone you are putting yourself and your family in jeopardy of losing them too. The person that has been killed has family members that would like to see you and your family dead as well, and then all that will end up happening is a big chain of murders. There will be no one left. What is the point of life if there is no one in it? Its all point less and resolves nothing! Just because the law says to kill this specific person does not mean this is going to make the world any better. This matter will not prevent others from going out and committing other crimes.

Wrongfully accused

The government is putting the wrong people on death row. We are never fully aware of what is going on. This leads us to being blinded by society. There have been innocent people put to death row. If we are not really sure of who did what then is it the governments right to decide if they are to die or not? I don't think so. And this matter
