We all know, science and technology with the rapid development have led to the birth of social networking sites. Facebook - a name that is no stranger to everyone. Facebook is a social networking site that allows users to post personal information, make friends, interact with people. Although Facebook has several negative effects, we can't deny the great benefits and roles that Facebook brings to us: help connect with everybody, improve your knowledge, and help you find jobs. In this essay, I will explain more about the benefits that Facebook brings make us happier.

First and foremost, Facebook is a huge community for people around the world to connect with each other without the barrier of distances. You can connect with your friends, family, and community or re-connect with your old-friends or lost friends (Williams, S). For instance, a family member or a friend post information, pictures, moods, emotions on Facebook, you will receive it immediately without having to listen to stories or rumors from others. No matter where you are, you can connect with others in every corner around the world if you connected with the internet and your device has installed Facebook. It is a suitable place for those who want to make friends, chat, talk, discuss or even just want to share something to remove stress. Moreover, this social media can also help you make more new friends. When you come to a new society, people might be afraid to make friends with you, sharing personal information on social networks can help you introduce yourself and make more new friends faster and easier than a regular encounter. Besides, people also create groups of their interests to gather like-minded ones to discuss the topics that they love. These days, Facebook users spend more time talking with friends instead of the traditional way of a face-to-face meeting.

Remarkably, Facebook is also a great source of knowledge. There are more and more sources called fan-pages, which are teaching the foreign language, cooking, communication, psychology, and sports in the social network so that you can study without going to class (Moghavvemi, Sharabati, Paramanathan, and Rahin). For instance, you feel interested in cooking so that you like and follow the pages that have cooking recipes or related to cooking. Then later, whenever you open your Facebook, you will see a lot of useful things about cooking which help you learn and improve your cooking skill. It is through this community that we are becoming more and more complete with the basic skills needed in modern life such as using foreign languages, communicating civilized or having a healthy body. It is easy to find your interests on Facebook, all you have to do is write down what you want to look for in the search box and then you will see endless results.

Lastly, Facebook can help you find a job easily. In 2012, Facebook has announced an app called "Social Jobs Partnership". This app is a collaboration between Facebook, the U.S. Department of Labor, the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), Direct Employers Association (DE), and the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) (newsroom.fb.com). All you need to do is write down your location and type of job that you are looking for, after a couple minutes, it will show you list of all the employers and their requirements. Most big companies have Facebook accounts, so people looking for a job can research and consider where they want to apply. In addition, using Social Jobs Partnership app, you can also find jobs right in your Facebook newsfeed page. In the left-hand side of your newsfeed page has an explored section that content " Jobs icon ", as soon as you click on that icon, multiple jobs advertisement locate near you will show up. Make sure your account is organized and looks professional because prospective employers will be viewing your public profile. More than that, Facebook friends can also help you get a job (Burke M., Laura K. G., Jones J.). For instance, you post on Facebook that you are looking for a job, some of your friend's company might hire people at that time, so your friends will let you know right the way. The amount of waiting time to get a job still depends on the number of friends in your account and your relationship.
