Cheaper by the Dozen was based on a real-life story. The story is about a
Mother called Mrs. Lillian Gilbreth and a father called Mr. Frank Gilbreth.
These two couple had twelve kids together. Their father Frank wanted them
to be perfect. He use to take two or three kids to his office and sometimes he
use to take all twelve of them on business trips.
People use to say that he had so many children that he could not keep
track of them. The kids father Frank was obsessed of having perfect
children, he even had chart in the bathroom so that the kids could right it
down. In the chart they use to write who went to the bathroom, who took
bath and who brush their teeth.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbreth planned on having the twelve kids, but they didn't
know that it could be so bad raising up twelve kids. When the family use to
go out it was a problem. The car they had was a station wagon/van and they
even had a name for it, it was called the foolish carriage. They named it
foolish carriage they named it foolish carriage because it was foolish for any
man with as many children as his affords a hopeless carriage.
Sometimes they even leave some children behind.
