Though already a big toy producer, China has yet to have a competitive toy industry. its whole toy industry is still in a stage of production. The level of toy consumption in China is low. The country still heavily depends on the international market. The level of market-oriented operations is low too. Production cost and quality are the foci of competition. Domestic toy enterprises still suffer such problems as low ability of independent innovations, relatively backward design and insufficient early inputs to meet consumers’ expected consumptions. All these affect the healthy and fast growth of China’s toy market.

What’s more,Some changes occur in the external environment, like the small scale and low innovation ability of Chinese toy enterprises, the harsher international standards which have become the obstacles of the export, and foreign-funded enterprises entering Chinese market. besides, other countrise’price competition , labor costs in china became increasing high, raw material costs aslo became higher and higher. So Chinese toy enterprises are forced by them to start considering their future. If they can’t handle these correctly, many small to medium baby toy manufacturers are expected to switch to other product lines or to cease operations altogether or shutting down permanently.
