Although some important aspects of life in China mostly stayed consistent during the last five centuries of the classical era, most aspects of life in China went through substantial amounts of change. However, change is expected, as 500 years is an extensive amount of time for anything to persist without change. Through thorough research, I have looked into what makes the change China endured different from the change the rest of the world went through during that time period. This is the evolution of China during the last five centuries of the classical era.

In any society, politics is an extremely important aspect for everyone and everything involved. This is because politics encompasses all of the activities that manage the governance of an area. In the beginning of the time period at hand, China was under the rule of the Han Dynasty, and already had been for about 300 years. Being that Han Dynasty was one of China's longest, and also their largest Dynasties, this was a rather successful time period in China’s history.

Although the Han Dynasty did last extremely long in terms of a Chinese empire, it did come to an end. In 221 C.E., the Han Dynasty fell. Not only was this the end of the rule of the Han Dynasty, the was the beginning of the era of warring states. The fall of the Han Dynasty left a power vacuum in China. Since there was no one set authority, city-states began to go to war with each other, competing for central authority of China. This period lasted for a long while, until it was ended when Qin conquered all of the warring states.

Although the Qin Dynasty won power over many different areas fighting to be n the position Qin won, the Qin Dynasty wasn’t a very long or strong dynasty. The Qin dynasty was only in power for 15 years after it ended the era of warring states by conquering all of the city-states involved. Shortly after the Qin dynasty was ended by cvil wars, Qin Shi Huang declared himself the first emperor of China.

Although government is a large part of Society, it wasn’t the only thing that changed during the time period at hand. Religion also was dynamic during this time, and had a large impact on the people living in this Chinese society. In the beginning of the time period at hand - 100 C.E. to be exact - Buddhism spread throughout China. Buddhism was quickly being accepted by people living in China, most of which who used to be followers of confucianism.
