Code of Ethics- Huffing Trucking Company
To be a profitable, growing, and competitive company we must be a model company to our stockholders, employees, customers and all stakeholders (University of Phoenix, 2012).
The code of ethics applies to ALL employees, officers, and directors. Any violation of the code will result in an appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. All employees must know and understand all policy and procedures that pertain to your work, and follow those rules. If you are unsure about a situation, ask questions when in doubt, and report any questionable conduct by others.
Code of Ethics
* All employees must be provided a safe, supportive working environment. Employees are personally accountable for you actions on the job.
* Safety must be a priority when using equipment, including safe driving on the road following safety guidelines and laws and regulations.
* The use of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited
* Threats of violence in a physical, written, or verbal manner will not be tolerated.
* Harassment and discrimination is prohibited from an employee, manager, or customer.
* Anyone engaged in sexual harassment is subject to termination.
* Treat one another with respect, including customers, employees, and suppliers.
* Conduct business with integrity through fairness and antitrust laws.
* If any conflicts of interest should arise, Huffman Trucking Company will intervene and make a decision that is in the company's best interest.
* We provide business for the government; therefore, we must comply with any federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
* All company equipment and property are for business purposes only. Employees are expected to handle company property with integrity, responsible, and with confidence. Personal use of company property must be within reason and not abused.
* Releasing confidential information about our company is prohibited.
