I, am presenting this award to a great man. He is not only a father, husband, son, and uncle, but he is the best teacher that I have ever had.
Most people who teach will sit in the classroom and lecture continuously about a subject, but not this particular teacher. This man will and did make every learning lesson fun and entertaining. He compared everything to something real and never gave up on making sure you understand what is being taught, in his or any other class. He will push you to succeed and do your best in every endeavor.
This man was at school hours before and stayed later than any other teacher. In doing so, he took away from his family for his teaching. He always made sure everything was in good order and the way it was supposed to be. If there was ever a problem with anything school, work, family, or personal, you could turn to him and he would always be there. He had and still does have an open door policy. You can call, email, write, or visit him whenever needed.
This man was more than a teacher to many of us; he was a father figure to some and a best friend to others. So, without further ado, I would like to present this "Teacher of the Year Award" to Commander Robert L. Rawls, for all his hard work and dedication while fulfilling the roles as a teacher and mentor. Thank you for everything Commander.
