The three most common communicable diseases that I have chosen are Pneumonia, Strep Throat, and Tuberculosis. They are infectious diseases that affect all citizens around the world. It's so common that the accurate caseload numbers are difficult to determine.

The pneumonia bacteria can live in a human body for years without causing infections or releasing any symptoms. One-hundred thousand people are hospitalized annually for pneumonia. The disease is a lung infection that can make you very sick. You may cough, run a fever, and have difficulty breathing, but it can be treated at home. The healing process takes at least two to three weeks. Elderly and infants are at higher risks of becoming very ill from this severe infection.

Strep throat is a bacterial infection in the throat and tonsils. The feeling is like a severe sore throat. It is caused by streptococcal bacteria. It is also very contagious. Getting over the strep throat takes up to a week to cure. If you go to get treated, antibiotics are given by your doctor to shorten the time. It'll also prevent you from spreading the disease to others.

Tuberculosis is a deadly disease that has killed millions. It is tested by a manteaux skin test better known as PPD. A small liquid material is injected under the top layer skin on your arm. This test determines whether you're positive or not. Even if you have tested positive; you could possibly not have the active for of the disease. This deadly disease is treated by different antibiotics depending on whether you're latent or active.

These common diseases affect everyone. No one is really safe from exposure. We have to collectively take better care of ourselves, and take action to any known symptoms then get it treated as soon as possible. There are million deaths a year because of these deadly diseases. It is very important to be aware of these things so death rates could possibly decrease.
