Hard life
Until I was six years old, my childhood was not the usual. I was born in Hungary. It was still
under the communistic control. I was three years old when my mother decided to immigrated
to west Germany. Since then we were separated from our family.
After world war 2, Germany has been separated into two parts: west and east. The
west side belonged to the democratic countries, like France and the USA. The east side got
into the russian hands which were communistic. Because of the many differencesthe two sides
had, a long wall has been built, in the center of Berlin, which is the capital of Germany. This
wall was used to separate the sides. Immediately, after the separation, americans started to
help, west Europe, to rebuilt everything after world war two. New jobs where created,
everything became colorful and the european people got hope again! However, the communist
was controlling
east Europe. Buildings were not rebuild, the life was very gray. People did not
have a chance to get new jobs, give their families a better life.
In 1987 my mother decided to provide me a better live, than I had in Poland. She got
papersÐ'Ò', which allowed her and me to live in west Germany. It was a very hard time for my
mother. She was by herself.She had to work and to take care of me, without knowing the
language or other people. We missed our family very much but above all my dad.
