A computer is needed for an Administrative Assistant. The computer needs to be able to have MS Office on it and Internet capabilities. The office is already Internet ready. The following The Compaq Presario SR1020T series computer will be dissected by price, performance (Ram, software (pre-purchase installed, write device, and networking), delivery, service, and reliability.

The standard warranty is a one-year cover of parts and tech support. The tech support is a twenty-four hour number. They also have one-hour email assistance. But once again that, is the stripped down version, you can upgrade to all that plus a 15 month Norton 2005 security subscription.

The stripped down version will cost $409.99 after a rebate on hpshopping.com (the HP website). Yet the customized version with all that was previously listed and printer (with cartridges), power surge plug, screen (flat screens were the only options that were listed), 2GB DDR2-533MHz dual channel SDRAM (4x512) memory upgrade (for more storage space for tasks), a top of the line hard drive 200GB 7200 rpm SATA Hard Drive, a three year service plan through HP (for safety incase of a malfunctioning part down the road), HP 97 Tri-Color Inkjet Print Cartridge with Vivera Inks (for color graphs and tables for better presentations ), and a mobile hard-drive (incase of computer problems for backup of files) this will cost you $2,009.92 with a mail in-rebate of $50.00 (on the HP website) which would bring the price to $1,959.92 which does seem pricey but could but called a business investment
