Creativity Please!
More creativity is needed in today's world. American pop culture has become dull. It seems as if originality has disappeared. In most aspects of American pop culture from music to movies and even fashion.
Music today is lame. Rock and roll is dead, and rap might as well be. There is no creativity in today's music. Music is made in the hopes of making money. Every single band sounds the same. It is hard to tell the difference between Puddle of Mud and Nickleback. However , my generation is reposeable for this. Almost ten years ago, Napster was born. Everyone began to downloading music for free. As music became at no coast, the recording industry started to rethink the situation. Musicians make almost all of their money through touring. The record companies receive most of their money from album sales. They began to lose money, so they started to rewrite rock and roll. They began building bands. This was marketed to the youth of America. After all, kids love to spend their parents money. The plan blew up. Soon it was rock and not just the alternative. The music stinks. The songs are mainly four power cords. However , the lyrics are worse. All these rockers tend to sing about is high school. Worst of all, every band sounds the same. No one wants to heat that. Its horriable. Rock and roll needs a change. It needs artists it needs creativity.
Movies are beginning to lose their originality. In the past, Hollywood was known for their creativity. Every movie was a new story to be experienced. However, remakes tend to be the trend nowadays. Every time you make a trip to the theater a remake is always an option. Holly wood is getting stale. All you see are remakes of old movies or old television shows. For example, there was a tragic excuse for a film, the dukes of hazard. There is no excuse for movies that lame. The list could go on forever. I could ramble on about Charlie and the Chocalate factory, Starsky and Hutch, and even king kong. However the abudance of remakes is not Holly wood's only dilemma. There are way too many sequels in the production. There is no reason Dumb and Dumber needed a sequel. Why did they make the second and third matrix films? They brought these catastrophic films to the silver screen in order to make a quick buck. They must have run out of ideas. Its sounds like Hollywood needs a little dose creativity.
