Crete & Mycenae
The video that we watched was titled Crete and Mycenae. The theme of the video was about the ruins in those two places and how they think they lived when the ruins were put together. The video did a good job to show us how they lived even though most of the buildings were now in ruins. They made it easy to imagine how they lived and how it might of looked. The video featured footage of the ruins at both places and also computer made models of how they might have looked. The video was of good length and if anything was added then the video would have become redundant in their explanation. The narrator analyzed both of the places and gave good explanations as to their reasons for what they believed. The video was very close to the way that both places were described from the book and they stated the same things. In the video they had a lot of footage of the actual ruins and footage of them excavating them. They used the computer created images to show the parts of the ruins and explain what might have taken there. There wasn't much to the sound and special effects in the movie, it was pretty straightforward. The video was mostly just the narrator talking and footage of people talking while at the ruins. The narrator did do a good job to fully explain everything and kept the video rolling smoothly but there were a couple parts without sound that went for a little bit too long. Overall the video served its purpose by talking strictly about Crete and Mycenae along with good visuals and explanations behind everything.
