Description of current event

This current event speaks about the start of the bloods gang and how they are running the streets. The bloods fights was only a street gang in Los Angelo. They became more powerful in 1993 when the formed the blood nation also known as the bloods in Rikers Islands prison facility. They created this gang in the prison to protect themselves from the Latin kings. After creating this gang in prison some leader to this to their neighborhoods in New York. The created different sets which are Mad Stone Villains , Valentine Bloods, Nine Trey Gangsters, Gangster Killer Bloods, One Eight Trey Bloods, Hit Squad Brims, Blood Stone Villains and Sex, Money and Murder. In 1996 the bloods had thousand of member and were still recruiting. They were the most violent and dangerous gang out but didn't have a good organization on things. That recruited throughout the East Coast and spread their drugs quickly. Bloods are mostly in the New York, New Jersey Hagerstown, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

The Bloods have became the target of Law Enforcement because of their violent crimes. They will kill other bloods from different sets because there is no National leadership connection. Some source say that the East Coast and West Coast had a meeting to see if the could come together and get some organization.

Relevance and Relation to violence in the community

The bloods gangs has taking over the streets of Trenton, NJ. When a car full of bloods gang member came down a Trenton street in Wilson-Haverstick where children was playing and riding their bikes. The rival gang noticed them and pulled out their guns and blasted them away. A 7 year old girl was hit off her bike and hit in the face by a bullet. The bullet went threw the mouth, it smashed several teeth and tore her tongue. She spent more then a week in the hostipal and then returned home. Other cases of gang violence was when in a 24 hour period 3 people was shot by gang related violence. The shooting was at the 800-block of East State Street, where a 48 year old woman was hit by a bullet attend for a gang member. Ten minutes later on Oakland Street and Hoffman a 22 year old man was shot in the arm. Other man 26 years old was shot three times but will survive. In other cases were gang violence has taking over is when six people was wounded over a two day period. Two of the victims were just innocent bystanders. They believe that two rival bloods gangs are to take most of the blame Sex Money Murder and Gangster Killer Bloods. They believe it started getting bad after a meeting they had to discuss their animosity. One of the victims was a school teacher who was leaving the school was shot. This makes it on save for the kids in the community if the teacher was shot leaving the school.

Many people believe that the violence has gotten out of control. A lady say that she wont let her kids even play outside because it has gotten so bad. A man says that they think it's the Wild West and that they don't care about anyone even their own mothers. A former crack head said that she doesn't believe that it is over drugs but believes that it over foolishness . The business in the community have dropped by 40 percent this year because of the gang violence. Many people see the gangs and are afraid to shop. A business man who is sales diamond earrings and gold dental caps, says that he has a line of gangster who are buying his stuff but the public see them in the store and will not shop there. Officials believe that we need outside help because the bloods have the 85,000 community terrified for their life. The police have tried to keep the violence down by having officer on foot and in car from 8a.m to 3a.m. This people believe will help but after
