Cultural Diffusion
United States of America
Do you know any cultural diffusion around the world? Well today I will be talking about cultural diffusions in the US, Canada, South America, Europe, and Russia. In this paragraph I will be talking about cultural diffusion found in the United States throughout the years.
United States has been colonizing for hundreds of years now. Throughout the colonization of the United States, there has been much cultural diffusion. For example, a cultural diffusion in America is migration. This is cultural diffusion because the migration of people coming from different countries, allows people to bring their language, clothing, and culture to be traded with Americans. An example of this interaction was the Columbian Exchange. The Columbian Exchange brought Europeans to America. Along with these Europeans came food/crops, diseases, and way of living.
Not only did the Europeans bring food/crops, diseases, and way of living; they also brought a type of government. United States began a Democracy in the 1700s. They wanted a non-religious state. They wanted everyone to be equal and keep a non-religious country. They learned from past governments in other countries. These types of governments were dictatorship, monarchy, communism, etc.

Canada
Now I will be talking about Canada, the home of maple syrup. Canada has had many cultural diffusions. For example, Canada’s is a bilingual country with the languages of English and French. These languages came from France, which ruled Canada before it became its own country. People from America and England migrated into Canada as well. When France controlled Canada, the spread of Roman Catholics was popular for the French and Protestant was popular for the English. Another example is inuit carvers. Inuit carvers used ivory, whalebones, and soapstones to carve figurines of animals and people in scenes from everyday life. Also a Toronto-based artists called the Group of Seven would honor William Shakespeare by performing music, dance, and theater.
Latin America
Latin America includes many regions such as Mexico, Brazil and South America. In Mexico and Peru they used a type of farming called terraced farming. This was an ancient technique for growing crops on hillsides or mountain slopes. This technique reduced soil erosion. Another example of cultural diffusion is the push pull factors. An example of a push pull factor would be people getting pushed away and out of rural areas to a better lifestyle with jobs, better education, and better medical care.
In Mexico, there has been many cultural diffusions. Such as temples and cultural hearth. An example of temples and palaces is in Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. These temples and palaces were built by the Maya. Each city was an independent state ruled by a god-king and served as a center for religious ceremony and trade. Cultural hearth is a place from
