I believe the curfew hours here at Lincoln College need to be abolished. When I came here for registration I was excited about having more freedom to do what I want. But when I found out that there were curfew hours for when girls had to be out of the dorm, I became a little sad. For example, a girl and I were watching a movie, and we didn't get to start it until around ten forty five or so. This was mainly because I had swimming at seven forty five and also had to do some homework after that. So we were getting through the movie and having a good time laughing and watching the movie until I looked at the clock. To my amazement it read eleven fifty five! Not only was I very surprised I was also extremely mad because we were having a good time and we were also having a good time. Also, it was a Sunday night so the curfew was twelve o' clock. Therefore we had to stop in the middle of the movie and I had to walk her all the way down to the first floor and not be able to watch the rest of the movie. There is a reason why we have the rule in place to begin with. The school has an agreement with our parents or whoever pays the tuition that we are doing what we are supposed to and aren't having any opposite gender friends over past a certain time. Some parents do care and some parents don't care if their children have anyone over past a certain time. I also think it stops the students here from having all the experiences of a big university like Illinois State University or Southern University. On the other hand I do agree with one of the reasons why we have the rule and that is we are too loud at too late of a time. Which means when there are a lot of people
