The article I have chosen this time for my paper is "Dead at 17." It is about some kid who was in a car wreck and died. It starts out saying that he is in Heaven's waiting line. He is put in the group of traffic fatalities. It was just like any other day, the day he passed on to the next life. He talks about how he conned his mom so he could get the keys, and drive to school. He thought he was to good for the bus so he just had to drive. I know I have been in this situation myself, not the accident but conning my parents for the key of the car so I could go out with my friends. Then he passed and old lady who was going to slow. Then he heard and felt the crash.
I have been an accident when I was younger but nobody died and it was not my fault. I remember the day, so many summers ago, like it just happened yesterday. The guy who hit me was injured he broke his arm, twisted his ankle, and bruised a few ribs. I on the other hand just had a few cuts and bruises. I was left with one scare on the back of my neck. I was not being reckless or doing anything stupid. I was just going home for lunch, because I had been unloading straw all morning and was hungry. I was pulling into my driveway when I heard the screeching. Next thing I knew I was flung forward with glass flying everywhere. Luckily, I was not hurt worse.
