Dear Morrison family,
Thank you for your letter! I was so excited when I received it! You sound like a really nice family and I can't wait to spend time with you. It was nice to hear that you're just as exited for having me as I am to come visiting you!
As it says on the letter, my name is Jane. I'm 15 years old and I live in a small town named Hellerup which is located just outside the capital of Denmark; Copenhagen. In Hellerup I live with my mom and my big sister. My parents divorced, when I was a baby and after the divorce my dad moved to England to work. So, I don't get to see him that much. In my spare time I dance ballet 3 times a week and read a lot of fashion magazines. I love fashion, clothes, shoes, and everything else that comes with.
The US is such a big country with so much content: its story, all its attractions, its many different people, its culture, its sports, and so on. All of these things are probably why, I want to visit your country. Besides, it's where almost all of the best and famous films are made and the country gets a lot of media publicity and has a big influence on all the others countries in the world.
When the letter arrived, I couldn't help noticing that you're living in Manhattan in New York. Reading that, was like a dream come true. I've always wanted to go to New York because there are so many famous attractions and different cultures I'd like to see and experience. For example, "The Empire State Building", "Statue of Liberty", "The Metropolitan Museum of Art", "Times square", the other boroughs like, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and so on.
Hopefully, when I have returned to Denmark again, I have learned a lot about the culture in Ameri-ca, I have gotten to know some new people, I am able to speak better English so I can get higher grades in school, and of course I have had an unforgettable summer holiday.
I hope that we are going to have a great summer together with lots of good memories and experi-ences. I'm looking forward to meeting you all. I can't wait!
