Define The Humanities

When we talk about humanities in the human sense we begin to talk about what we are in essence. Humanities is what we as cultures, religions and societies can pass from generation to generation to learn and grow from. Humanities is the path to knowledge and growth. As early as time human beings were learning and growing. They would then pass this down so future generations could use the knowledge and not go backwards but forwards by building on what had already been learned.

We use humanities in many different ways. We use it for beliefs, religions, music, art, writing, and more. They could document where things were. Through the years humans learned from this and built on it until we had forms of writing and speaking.

With humanities we learn what other cultures are like and can learn lessons from them. By viewing and researching cultures past we can see where we came from and where we could be headed. We are able to evaluate the mistakes our past generations have made and learn from those mistakes. For example we can study the great battles and evaluate them and how those societies fought.
