Discuss the similarities and differences between two friends.

When I was in high school, I studied in the same class with twin brothers. They are Tai and Loc. We have been best friends for a long time. Although they have similar appearances like other twins, I still recognized some distinct features which make their personalities, preferences and dreams different from each other.

In general, Tai and Loc are similar on the outside. Because of their genes, they are very alike. For example, they have the exact same features such as eyes, face, even their height and weight. If people just met them and do not know them well enough, they cannot distinguish who is Tai or who is Loc. Moreover, they are equally intelligent. For instance, they participated in a contest which tested how quickly they could use their Casino Calculator to solve all the math questions and they won the same award.

The more alike they look on the outside, the more different they are inside. The first difference between Tai and Loc is their personalities. While Tai is a good humored, friendly and active person, Loc is quiet, strict and sometimes unapproachable person. For example, Tai has a lot of friends because he is outgoing. He always tells funny jokes to make me smile. Talking with him is very interesting which makes me feel relaxed and comfortable. Besides that, he is willing to help me solve my problems and gives good advice. Contrastly, Loc is not a close and friendly person so he does not have as many friends as Tai. He rarely talks, just listens. He prefers staying at home to study rather than hanging out with his friends. No one in my class dares to joke with him because of his strictness.

The second difference between Tai and Loc is their preferences. Tai likes to wear an active style of clothing but Loc prefers a formal and traditional style. For example, when we go out together for our class activities, Tai often wears T-shirts and jeans with sport shoes. On the other hand,  Loc likes wearing shirts and western style pants with leather shoes which makes him look like a serious person. Furthermore, in their free time, Tai likes watching comedy films and listening to hip hop music but Loc likes watching documentary films and listening to romantic music.
