Your parents say video games are bad for you, but is that really true? Studies show that video games are not always bad for you, they can actually help you in your daily life. Video games are known to increase knowledge in subjects, improve reflexes, and make kids more emotionally stable. The article "Are Video Games Bad for You?" by Laura Anastasia shows how video games are good and bad for you.

Video games are not always bad for you because they can help you in your daily life. For instance it is said that video games can improve reflexes. In the article it says "One study found that surgeons who played certain video games finished surgeries faster and made fewer errors than their none gaming counterparts". As you can see the surgeons had the reflexes to carry out the surgeries faster because of playing video games. Another example is that video games can increase your knowledge in various subjects. The article states "2,500 schools use Minecraft to build on math skills and to teach history, biology, architecture, engineering, and other subjects."As shown, video games can increase your intelligence as well. Video games can help you in your daily life by improving your reflexes and increasing your intelligence.

Some say video games are bad for you because they make kids react violently sometimes. It says in the article " Gamers tend to respond with aggression because of certain video games such as Grand Theft Auto ." As shown violent video games make kids violent. However not all video games are violent, other video games can help kids physiologically in good ways. It says " Przyblskli found that gamers have fewer emotional problems and are less hyperactive than non-gamers." As seen in the text kids who play video games are more emotionally stable. Video games don't always make kids react violently, but they can help kids through their emotional problems.

Hence, video games are not always bad for you and can help you in your daily life. They can improve your reflexes, increase your intelligence, and make you help you with emotional problems. So next time your dad says "NO MORE VIDEO GAMES FOR YOU" just say "but Dad, didn't you know that they're good for you?"
