The dress code at my place of employment is monitored very well, we are asked to wear a uniform that
Is chosen by the Supervisor, the color of this uniform is tan pants and either a maroon shirt, green shirt
Or a tan shirt and either white shoes or black ones.
The employees in this facility did not always bide by this dress code. Co-workers were always wearing
Either Levi pants or basically what they wanted to wear on that day, the supervisor was very relaxed
With this code, they were always giving warnings but never following through with any of them.
I have to admit there were a couple of times that I abused this rule, just because I thought I could get
Away with it, but every time I did it I was always getting caught, I was never the lucky one, so I just
Wore the uniform and dealt with it, it wasn't really that bad.
I had a couple of co-workers that spoke different languages, but they also knew how to speak English so
There were never any language barriers in the facility. All the residents in the facility were Caucasian,
There were no other ethnic backgrounds that I seen only Caucasian; I don't know if they let other
Backgrounds into the facility I don't know.
I hope that they didn't have anything saying that certain backgrounds could not live within the facility.
That would not be very good for business I wouldn't think. So with there not being many different
Ethnic backgrounds it made for easier communication in the workplace.
I have put in a couple of job applications for different Nursing homes and Assisted living centers
And one of the requirements for the job was to be able to speak Spanish, It would not affect you
Getting the job but it would give you a better chance of getting the job if you did speak Spanish.
Communication plays a very big part in a company, in my workplace the communication was not very
Good. When I first started my job I was told that I had so many months to get my certification
Complete to be able to work there, well time went by and I started to get my certificates together, and
One day while working I was called into the supervisor's office and she said I have to let you go, I said
Why, and she told me that I was not in compliance with their rules.
I said okay in the beginning of my employment you told me I would have time to complete my
Certificates and now you are telling me you are going to fire me because I am not in compliance, I really
Felt that that was very unfair, so I was fired.
Within the company we have a person that does our schedule, and we were always having problems
