Children should being a formal education at a very early age. Others believe children should spend most f their time playing. Which do you think is best? Give examples and details.
As society develops, expectations of people continue to grow. People are expected to be the smartest and the brightest. As a result, pressure is placed on our future generation - children from an early age. However, children should be allowed to be children and spend their young age playing. On one hand, childhood is the most important time of human's life when children have a chance to play and enjoy themselves. On the other hand, children need time to play so they can develop other skills in addition to academic ones.
A large part of people's lives are spent in school and studying. In developed countries, education is a factor that determines people's life plans. Thus, people invest most of their lives in school. They usually begin their education in kindergarten and continue to higher education such as colleges and graduate schools. These processes can be stressful and overwhelming. Children, when they have the opportunity, should be allowed to spend their free time playing. Childhood shouldn't be stressful, instead children must enjoy it. They will eventually have to go to school and spend years and years of demanding education.
Moreover, when children play, they gain a significant knowledge. In school, children will learn to work with others and gain important skills from books , but they will be limited by the academic environment. If children allowed to play freely, they will be able to develop creative skills. Also, playing required children to be imaginative. Creativity and imagination are emphasis characteristics that should not be forget.
More specifically, in our society there are so many schools for children. Parents compete with one another to get their 3-4 year olds into these institutions. As a result, these children then began their education without being given the proper time to grow and develop socially. They begin to feel the pressure and stress from early and it is affecting their development into adults.
In conclusion, many people assume that educating children from an early age is more advantageous than allowing them to play. In my opinion, children should be allowed to play based on the reasons I mentioned.
