Eating disorders are conditions that involve an unhealthy degree of concern about body
weight and shape and that may lead to efforts to control weight by unhealthy means,
examples: of eating disorders are starving , overeating and forcing the stomach to vomit
the food that was eaten . Your body image is how you see yourself, mood , actions and
experiences. People may not feel good about their body image and there where eating
disorders come in, people with low self -esteem wanting to look like models in TV.
What are some common eating disorders? The first common disorder Anorexia
Nervosa, which is a disorder where main the characteristics is restriction of food and
refusing to maintain a normal body weight . They start excluding food with high fat or
caloric content . Anorexics can include vomiting, laxative and excessive exercise. The
bulimic person eats compulsively and then purges through diet pills, strict diets and fast
food .Binges usually consist of consumption of large amount of food in short of time.
Anorexics and bulimics are also obsessively involved with their body shape and weight.
Last compulsive overeating are caught in the vicious cycle in eating and depression. The
use of food as an excuse to relive their stress and feelings but also they feel guilt, shame ,
disgust and depression .medical complications can also be severe and even life treating
for these disorders
