EATING DISORDER

An eating disorder and how damaging it is to a person. What is an eating disorder? It is characterized by rigorous instability in eating behavior. It causes a person to compulsively over eat or eat too little to where the body does not function properly. The physical and mental health of that person is distressed. Some eating disorders come with lost of purging because that person is afraid of gaining weight. There are two main eating disorders that are heard about the most. They are anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa; which are extensively and swiftly spreading. The penalties are very severe and will cause harm to a person's immediate and long-term health which sometimes lead to death. Anorexia Nervosa is the presence of an abnormally low body weight. There is an intense fear of becoming fat. People who are anorexia refuse to eat, have a low self-esteem, and constant self-criticism. Fact is one thousand women die from this disorder each year. Bulimia Nervosa is characterized by the recurrent chapter of eating a large quantity of food over a short period of time by attempts to give back for the excessive caloric intake by such purging behaviors. During this process a bulimic often consume foods high in carbohydrates and fats. Some bulimics say that they get a physical high from their binging. Different people have different purposes why they binge. When this is going on the person is lead to feel guiltiness, humiliation, and complete letdown. They then feel like the purging is helping them make up for their errors. Some bulimics have a destructive behavior while under pressure with the disorder. Bulimia Nervosa and Anorexia Nervosa are two different disorders but are alike in the way that they are both life-threaten.
