Three advantages of web-delivered/electronic presentations.

One major advantage of web-delivered and electronic presentations is the ability to meet the audience's expectations of visual standards. Speakers who are able utilize visuals in their presentations are able to provide clarity and emphasize important points. The visuals that are provided through these electronic presentations provide an increase in retention of information, usually anywhere from 14 to 38 percent. Proper visuals also may reduce the time required to present a concept. Finally, group consensus is increased when visual are used in a meeting.

Another advantage in these types of presentations is the enhancement of professionalism and credibility of the speaker. A speaker who uses visuals through web-based and electronic presentations are usually considered better prepared then those who don't use them. A speaker will also be more persuasive and seem more knowledgeable about the subject if he provides a visual reference to the material he is talking about. If a audience feels that speaker is knowledgeable they will be more inclined to pay attention to what he has to say. This will help the speaker to reach his goals on a more persistent basis.

This leads to the final advantage of using electronic and web-based presentations, by providing these special effects the speaker is able to enhance appeal, flexibility, and reuse. The presenter can make attractive fonts or different typestyles with a host of different colors to attract the audience's attention to more difficult words or important things. The presenter also has access to visually stimulating tools such as animations and simulations. They are useful in demonstrating difficult concepts that words and diagrams cannot easily convey. The speaker is also able to use the presentation at different locations at the same time enabling him to reach a broader audience.
