ADHD and the affects it has on schooling

When a young child has ADHD it will affect their school work. According to the ADHD institute 43% of children have trouble with school. It can be taking care of with therapy. ("ADHD." ADHD. ADHD Institute, n.d. Web. 4 Nov. 2015”). The children with ADHD just needed to try to focus. I know it is hard but if they just could stay focused on the school work.

In 1990 the U.S. National Longitudinal Survey of Youth focus on the measure of symptoms from an ADHD screening. They use two sources like the child’s parent and teacher’s. The article says that it is more likely for a boy to have ADHD then girls. ("Effects of ADHD." The National Bureau of Economic Research. N.p., n.d. Web. 4 Nov. 2015). The website had a lot of good information. There was a lot of information that a person with a child with ADHD should read. It gave a lot of details. It explained a lot of the information.

Medication may help the children with keeping the focused and keeping them in their chair and listening better. There are a lot of other options then just medication. It should just be talked to with the child’s doctor and see what other options are available.  (Impacts of ADHD. Healthy, n.d. Web. 4 Nov. 2015.) There are many options for children. There should have been a little more information about ADHD and the medications and different options.

The other website that I looked at tells you about what the teacher sees and all parents should read and really think about the stuff they read. It is a lot different being a teacher and that child’s parents. You see a different part of the ADHD then the teacher does. The teacher sees all the issues that the child has with staying focused. There are so many children talking medication because that is the first step most doctors take. (Morin, Amanda. Understood. N.p., 2014. Web. 4 Nov. 2015).   I believe that the doctors should try and think of different options for children that have ADHD.  The website could have put more information into the information. It was an okay website with good information.

I talked about the impact of ADHD in the classroom. It is a touchy subject and many children do suffer from ADHD. There were some good websites and a lot of not so good ones. Most doctors today just want the children to take medication and that is it. I believe that there should be different options other than just medication.
